Operational Resource Officer - Adult Care

Posted by Crossreach.

At CrossReach, our Adult Care services offer a holistic approach to supporting individuals across a range of needs, including mental well-being, learning difficulties, offending and prison visiting, counselling, emotional support, substance use, and homelessness. We are dedicated to delivering compassionate and person-centred care that empowers individuals to overcome challenges and enhance their quality of life.

Our services are designed to address the diverse needs of those we support. We provide comprehensive mental well-being support, including counselling and therapeutic interventions, to help individuals manage their mental health and build resilience. For those with learning difficulties, we offer tailored care that promotes personal growth and independence through residential care, day services, and community support.

We also offer specialised support for individuals involved in the criminal justice system, assisting with reintegration and positive life changes. Our emotional support services provide guidance and companionship to those facing difficult life circumstances, while our substance use services focus on rehabilitation and recovery to help individuals regain control over their lives.

Additionally, our homelessness services are committed to providing both immediate assistance and long-term solutions to help individuals without stable housing rebuild their lives. At CrossReach, we are dedicated to fostering a supportive environment that respects each person's dignity and individuality, aiming to make a meaningful difference in their lives.

We are seeking an Operational Resource Officer to join our Adult Care team on a temporary basis for six months, working 21 hours per week. Due to the geographic spread of the role, there is flexibility on the base location, allowing you to work from a location that best suits your needs. This role is essential in supporting our managers with all aspects of the resourcing process, from the initial advertising of vacancies to the final selection of candidates. You will work closely with the HR Business Partner to prioritise tasks and ensure the recruitment process is managed efficiently. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, with excellent communication skills to effectively manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying immediate resourcing priorities and ensuring that vacancies are advertised in a timely manner. You will collaborate with managers to support the selection process, ensuring job descriptions and person specifications are up to date and any changes are managed through the required approval processes. You will also work with the Talent Attraction Advisor to develop and implement effective attraction strategies, using various advertising channels and social media platforms to reach potential candidates.

As the Adult Care super user for our candidate management software, you will provide training and support to other team members. Your skills in data analysis, including the use of Google Analytics, will be crucial for reporting on the success of our recruitment strategies. Additionally, you will act as a point of contact for both candidates and managers, ensuring a smooth and positive recruitment experience.

This role also includes representing our organisation at job and career fairs across Scotland, helping to build awareness of our services. You will manage and respond to queries related to recruitment, ensuring that all data is handled with confidentiality and sensitivity. A strong background in administration, with experience in recruitment advertising and software, will be advantageous.

Respect for our Christian ethos is essential, and we seek someone who shares our values of fairness, integrity, and compassion. If you are passionate about making a difference and possess the relevant skills and experience, we would be delighted to hear from you.
