Location: Richmond Upon Thames
Contract: Long Term, Full Time
Rate: £18-22 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: 36 hours per week (may Vary), term time

The Role:
As Finance officer, you will support the Director of Finance & Operations, leading the school's financial management. This role involves overseeing daily finance operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and income generation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily financial operations, including payments, cashflow, and systems.
- Provide financial advice and maintain controls across departments.
- Assist in the creation and amendment of financial policies.
- Lead efforts to increase income and reduce costs.
- Oversee payroll, ensuring timely payments.
- Assist with budgets, management accounts, and reports.
- Coordinate audits and financial returns.
- Ensure data protection compliance and support subject access requests.
Person Specification:
- Part or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a school or similar setting.
- Strong communication skills to explain financial information to non-finance staff.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
- Knowledge of education finance and reporting.
- Leadership skills to manage and support finance team members.
