Mechanical Technician
Roles within this department have a clearly defined progression route and the potential to transition from contract to permanent positions.
- The primary responsibility of this role is to assemble new hydraulic pumps, motors, and generators.
- The candidate must possess the ability to interpret drawings and the necessary skills to construct aerospace products using Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- An aerospace qualification or a similar manufacturing assembly qualification would be advantageous.
- The applicant must demonstrate diligence, work with small tolerances, and obtain a "stamp" to sign off on their work, confirming its completion in accordance with all relevant specifications.
- Additional duties include participation in 5S and lean manufacturing activities, laying out, and duty tech.
Rates: PAYE + Holiday Pay
£13.51 per hour (PAYE) + Holiday Pay
Overtime over 37 hours and Saturdays is time and a half
Sundays and bank holidays are double time.
10% uplift for earlies
20% uplift for the late shift
Salary £26,000
