A really exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Advisor to set up the HR department for forward thinking Organisation with a strong reputation and proven track record of delivering success. You will report to the MD and take responsibly for the full HR life Cycle. Based in Warrington

Description

As the HR Advisor, you will be responsible for setting up a successful HR department and with a focus on providing day-to-day HR operational and transactional support across the business. You will building strong relationships across all departments and will act as a first point of contact for general HR and payroll queries, together with assisting and supporting the Senior Leadership Team

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Act as the first point of contact for all HR and Payroll queries, managing the HR mailbox on a daily basis
  • Provide support for recruitment and selection of staff.
  • Produce all correspondence and relevant documentation relating to the employee life cycle, including offer letters, reference requests, changes in terms and conditions of employment, resignation acknowledgements
  • Check and process all induction paperwork, ensuring right to work checks are completed and flag any concerns to the hiring manager.
  • Process company benefits for employees.
  • Manage absence and performance issues
  • Update and implement new policies and procedures
  • Maintain the HR database
  • Assist in the submission of grant claims and support the Finance Director with CITB levy and Apprenticeship levy administration
  • Maintain good working relations with all stakeholders, ensuring a discreet, diplomatic approach to ER issues as they arise.
  • Coordinate HR projects such as training and development programs.
  • Handle employee relations issues including disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law and regulations.
  • Participate in the development and execution of HR strategies.

Profile

The successful HR Advisor should have:

  • Several years experience of operating in an HR Advisory capacity
  • An undergraduate degree in human resources or a related field.
  • Knowledge of UK employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling employee relations issues.
  • You must be able to work on-site 5x days a week
