SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity in Westminster

We are an education agency representing a distinguished Secondary School located in Westminster. This school is seeking an enthusiastic and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to work with students with various learning and behavioural needs, both in class and on a one-to-one basis.
Role Details:
- Start Date: September
- Duration: Full academic year, with the potential for a permanent contract based on performance and commitment.
- Hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday
- Salary: £90 per day
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with a range of special needs, learning support, and behavioral needs.
- Assist in general classroom activities as a Teaching Assistant.
- Help students access the curriculum and participate in classroom activities.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Implement strategies to promote the student's social and emotional development.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the student's progress and well-being.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with special needs and behavioral challenges is essential.
- A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with special educational needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt and differentiate teaching strategies to meet the students' unique requirements.
- Flexibility and a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.
