Hooray are delighted to be supporting Read for Good, our charity partner on a retained basis to recruit for a Communications Lead to join their team on a full or part-time permanent basis. Read for Good are a leading charity shining the light on reading and creating a love for books. This is a brand-new role for Read for Good and is a crucial role to ensure the successful delivery of their strategic plan!

As a Communications Lead, you will:

  • Develop and deliver a comms strategy that will increase reach and engagement with a range of stakeholders
  • Take the lead on a range of communications channels including all digital channels, PR, marketing, advertising & print
  • Lead on copywriting, design and production of engaging marketing materials and resources
  • Create and schedule targeted social media content to reach new audiences and increase engagement with existing stakeholders
  • Oversee the Google Adwords account to increase engagement with Read for Good
  • Act as a brand guardian including maintaining brand guidelines and building a suite of templates/copy for colleagues to ensure consistent messages across all media and reduce duplication
  • Develop meaningful KPIs and report regularly on performance

To be successful as a Communications Lead, you will:

  • Be experienced in brand development, web, social media, creative design, storytelling & content creation
  • Be able to write compelling and persuasive copy in different styles for varying audiences
  • Have a good understanding of comms channels and the platforms used to support and deliver them
  • Hold excellent digital marketing skills
  • Have an eye for detail
  • Display high professional standards, with a good level of literacy and numeracy

In return we are offering an annual salary of £30,000 depending on experience. Please note this is full or part-time permanent position.
