Role: Senior IT Engineer (Educational sector)

Salary: £32,000 - £36,000
Hours 8:30am - 4:30pm

Our clients IT Services Department is seeking an experienced Senior IT Engineer to join their growing IT Team. Working closely with the IT Manager you will need to have strong communication skills as you will be talking to people at all levels and will need to communicate effectively.
The role requires the right candidate to have strong technical skills with experience of designing, implementing, and maintaining IT key infrastructure and systems.
It is essential that you have worked at a 2nd line level to be considered for this position.
Having previously worked in an educational environment would be a massive plus for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Work at a 2nd/3rd line level
- Support & lead project work
- Assist the IT & AV Engineer / Trainee
- Proactively report into line management on capacity and performance management of all infrastructure and systems on a periodic and regular basis.
- Monitor the College infrastructure, monitoring for performance and capacity assessment
Technical Skills
- Microsoft Server 2012 to 2022, Linux Debian. Microsoft Windows 10 and 11, MacOS.

- Networking
- Azure
- Hyper-V
