Sales Administrator

Things are busy and business is great. The order book is brimming and there is a real feel-good factor about the organisation. As part of our ongoing expansion, we are seeking a Sales Order Assistant to support operations by managing the sales order process and stock allocation, initially for a period of 6 months on a fixed-term contract. The role is part - time (24-30 hours.

Key Responsibilities:

Your primary responsibility will be processing sales orders accurately and efficiently using an inventory management system. You will ensure that customer orders are entered correctly and allocated from available stock to meet demand. Maintaining up-to-date records of stock levels and monitoring product availability will be essential to your role.

You will collaborate closely with the warehouse team to ensure the timely dispatch of goods, helping to meet customer expectations for prompt delivery. In addition to managing orders, you will be tasked with tracking the progress of shipments, addressing any issues that may arise during the order fulfilment process, and communicating with customers, sales teams, and other departments to resolve queries or discrepancies. Your role will also involve generating reports on sales and stock levels to identify potential issues or trends, ensuring that stock is managed effectively to avoid shortages or delays.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

We are looking for someone with proven experience in sales order processing, preferably within an FMCG or similarly fast-paced environment. Familiarity with inventory management systems or ERP software is crucial, as is a keen eye for detail and strong organisational abilities.

You will need to manage multiple tasks, often under pressure, so the ability to prioritize work and stay focused is essential. Excellent communication skills are a must, as you will be interacting with customers, internal teams, and external partners regularly. Problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach will also be key to your success in this role.
