MLC Partners are working with a global business school to recruit a Financial Accountant to support their growing team. This is an interesting opportunity to join a changing organisation and help support them through a planned transformation programme. The school are very interested in candidates coming from a large professional services audit background.
Reporting to the Finance Director, main responsibilities include:
- Work closely with the wider finance team to deliver the monthly close process, preparing journals and analysing transactions.
- Carry out month-end and year-end reconciliations for all balance sheet and control accounts
- Support the Financial Controller with the preparation of year end statutory accounts, including schedules, internal and external audits.
- Liaise with management accountants and the finance business partners to ensure they have all the relevant information for their budget holders.
- Work with the transformation team to support with the rollout of new finance systems and review current processes and policies remain fit for purpose.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience of working in or with changing environments.
- A recognised accountancy qualification
- Expertise with IFRS accounting standards and have strong technical knowledge
- A commercial mindset, although there is no requirement for specific sector experience.
