In this role you will be working towards becoming a qualified lecturer in Carpentry and Joinery with full training being provided. You will be tasked with teaching students in this topic. You will be tasked with delivering this course throughout a strong and consistent uptake of eager students ready to learn.

The ideal candidate is someone who has significant skills and experience working in the Carpentry and Joinery industry and will have the drive and confidence to be able to transfer their existing knowledge in this trade and the wider construction sector to new students. You will need to be a highly motivated individual looking to progress their career and develop their skills with the organisation long-term, any and all experience in teaching positions is highly sought after.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and motivated Carpentry professional to move into a lecturing position through specialist training with the scope to progress their way up to course team lead positions. This is all whilst drastically improving your work-life balance allowing you to spend more time at home.

The role:

  • 37 hours a week
  • No weekends
  • Teach students industry knowledge
  • Educate on construction principles and health & safety

The person:

  • NVQ Level 2 in carpentry or equivalent
  • Industry experience
  • Interest in becoming a fully qualified lecturer
  • (Desirable: minimum level 3 qualifications in teaching)
