Do you have a minimum of 4 years' experience in delivering electrical engineering projects? Our client is looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer for an exciting opportunity.

You will collaborate with the design/engineering team & project manager to deliver the project objectives, scope, and electrical requirements ahead of clients expectations, maintaining H&MVs excellent reputation in delivering top class HV projects.

Key Responsibilities as Lead Electrical Engineer:

  • Taking the construction issue designs through the construction phase and feeding back lessons learned to the design team weekly.
  • Partake in weekly design meetings and construction meetings.
  • Partake in subcontractor meetings & site interface - understand their scope and manage their efficiency on site.
  • Manage the material approval requests and ensure construction is as per the approved materials.
  • Take over the technical submittals from the lead engineer at the construction phase.
  • Attend & coordinate FATs with the Project Manager.
  • Daily construction site walks to monitor progress, address any subcontractor issues and ensure safety compliance.
  • Review the installation against the design specifications & construction issue design pack.
  • Raise all QA/QC observations on Procore (or ACC) to track site issues and ensure issues get closed out.
  • Set up the project ITPs and ensure they are completed as the project progresses.
  • Set up the MS Teams page for the project and upload weekly progress photos.
  • Coordinate the procurement of electrical materials, equipment, and services needed for HV projects. Evaluate supplier proposals.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Min 4 years' of experience in delivering electrical engineering projects.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of high voltage electrical equipment and systems.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is advantageous.
