Walters People have currently partnered with a leading business based in Dudley in their recruitment of an Assistant Accountant on a 6 month contract. The role will be paid hourly rate with a perm equivalent salary of £30-35k based on experience.
Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant:
- Prepare draft reconciliations using excel templates
- Download Expenditure from both systems, review for transfers, accruals and prepayments
- Liaise with Senior Accountants as required to deal with any anomalies
- Process journal transfers and post any Accruals and Prepayments identified
- Create batch upload file for balancing charges/ credits
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Highly numerate and analytical with the ability to gather, manipulate and present large quantities of data effectively.
- Good systems skills including advanced excel
- Resilient, with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Willingness to challenge and critically analyse information
- Ability to understand and interpret lease provisions to ensure appropriate recovery of costs
