CBF are a unique, 900-year-old charity which owns and manages five Thames crossings - including the iconic Tower Bridge. They also support London's communities by awarding over £30 million a year to charities across the capital.
The Role: City Bridge Foundation & Charities Finance Director
We are looking for a Finance Director to provide strategic finance leadership to CBF. As a key member of CBF's Leadership Team, you will have strategic oversight of the effective and efficient management of CBF's finances, working with key Members, Senior Officers and external stakeholders to ensure a sound and sustainable future for CBF, always acting in the best interest of the charity. Working collaboratively with the CBF Leadership Team, you will help shape the strategic direction of the charity and will provide constructive challenges around potential strategies and initiatives in delivering against the overall CBF strategy whilst championing the values of the charity and fostering a collaborative relationship with its trustee, the City Corporation.
About you:
A qualified accountant with extensive post qualification experience, you will have worked at a senior level within a complex charity environment. As well as having in-depth knowledge of the financial management of charities, you will have developed and implemented finance strategies within charitable organisations of a similar size or nature. An excellent communicator and influencer, you will use your strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across teams and sectors to achieve positive outcomes.
