Robert Half are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to join our client on an exciting capital project, which will begin within the 6 weeks.
This role will play a pivotal role in ensuring the project meets its financial milestones, adheres to lender requirements, and adds value through proactive financial insights and reporting.
- Start date: Immediate
- Location: Remote - ad-hoc travel required at the project site - Tilbury Docks.
- Duration: 6 months
- Daily Rate: £400-525 per day (outside IR35)
You will report into the groups financial controller and be responsible for:

Financial Project Management:
-
Act as the Finance Business Partner for a major project, ensuring all financial aspects are effectively managed.

Oversee the financial performance of the project, ensuring all milestones are met and reporting is delivered on time.

Manage the relationship with external lenders, ensuring all financial reports and data submissions are accurate, timely, and compliant.

Data Analysis and Financial Reporting:

Take ownership of financial data related to the project, conducting detailed analyses to support decision-making.

Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive reporting dashboard to ensure stakeholders have up-to-date visibility on financial performance.

Perform variance analysis, comparing budget vs. actuals, and provide insights into discrepancies and areas for improvement.

Value-Adding Financial Insights:

Conduct in-depth analysis to identify and communicate commercial risks and opportunities within the project.

Collaborate with the project team to create strategies that optimise financial performance and mitigate identified risks.

Stakeholder Management:

Build and maintain strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders, including senior management and project teams.

Engage regularly with lenders and external stakeholders, ensuring financial reports and communications meet their requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:

A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with 5-10 years of post-qualification experience.

Proven experience as a Finance Business Partner, particularly in managing projects from a financial perspective.

Strong experience in project accounting and financial management, with a focus on budgeting, forecasting, stakeholder management and variance analysis.
