School Business Manager

Overview: We are seeking an exceptional School Business Manager to join a prestigious institution. The successful candidate will be a dynamic leader with a passion for education and strategic management. As School Business Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing the planning, development, management and implementation of financial and administrative services for the school as well as being a member of the senior leadership team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Management of resources including budget and financial planning for all accounts
  • Management of financial system and all budget and accounts including monthly management accounts, cash flow, year end and outrun.
  • Responsibility for annual and statutory returns
  • Management of support functions including HR, Marketing, administrative and Finance staff
  • Manage the school's facilities and assets including the line management of premises, ICT staff and maintenance of assert registers.
  • Submission of bids for funding to external agencies Responsible for Procurement, licences, SLAs, Leases, letting, insurance and contracts.
  • Experience of developing strategies at a whole school level and delivering on initiatives with maximum impact

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified accountant or equivalent with some experience in a senior position or a member of the AAT with experience in a similar position.
  • Proven experience in a senior management role within the education sector or relevant administrative/financial leadership experience.
  • Strong financial acumen and budgetary management skills, with a track record of effective resource allocation and financial planning.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Proficiency in IT systems and software relevant to financial management and administration.
  • Knowledge of education legislation, policies, and best practices.
