Day-to-day of the role:
- Oversee the daily maintenance of plots, including watering, feeding, pruning, and weeding.
- Monitor plant health and implement pest and disease control measures.
- Lead and coordinate a small team to ensure all areas are maintained to a high standard.
- Keep accurate records of plant stock and assist with planning and scheduling tasks.
- Ensure safe use of tools and machinery, adhering to health and safety protocols.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A horticultural qualification or equivalent practical experience.
- Background in commercial or ornamental horticulture.
- Strong knowledge of plant care techniques and seasonal maintenance.
- Experience in supervising staff and managing workloads.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK driving licence and valid tractor/telehandler licence.
- Flexibility to work across multiple sites and adapt to seasonal demands.
