An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Data Migrations Lead to join my clients specialist team on a 12-month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the transition to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O) from Dynamics Great Plains (GP) and other applications.
Day to Day of the role:
- Collaborate with the Project One team to develop and run the automated data migration framework within SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- Create automated cleansing and data consolidation routines within the SSIS framework.
- Provide data quality reporting to the finance team to support manual data cleansing.
- Create data mapping templates embedded within the SSIS framework.
- Assist in creating the go-live cutover strategy and detailed plan.
- Maintain the project plan for data migration, reporting progress weekly to the D365 Project Manager.
- Create technical data migration reconciliation reports and processes.
- Run the data migration process for all project phases, including go-live cutover.
- Ensure the SSIS framework and reporting maintains data lineage and a clear audit trail back to source data.
- Work with the Project and finance teams to refine the SSIS framework development based on feedback and project needs.
- Provide training and documentation on the data migration framework to ensure effective knowledge transfer and audit compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with SSIS.
- Experience in multi-entity ERP data migration projects, preferably D365 F&O using the Data Management Framework (DMF).
- Experience managing all aspects of an ERP data migration project, including project planning, data cleansing, and data mapping.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science/information technology field.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills at all levels.
- Full UK driving licence to meet the travel requirements of the role.
