We are a Liverpool based general practice firm with proven success and growth. We require a Qualified Accountant, preferably an ACCA/ACA with experience in a similar practice is essential. The role is tailorable to candidates level of qualification and experience but with the opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of clients and client services which include accounts, personal and corporate taxes, payroll and business advisory.
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience of working in a varied general practice role and may be ACCA /ACA Qualified. Previous experience of working within a similar practice is preferable. In brief, the candidate will be responsible for managing the financial records of the clients, including preparing financial statements, budgeting, and processing accounts payable and receivable. The Accountant will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, as well as providing guidance on financial matters to other departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent problem-solving skills. Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements and reports
- Assist in the preparation and submission of Tax returns for companies and individuals
- Assist in operating client's Payroll
- Analyse financial data and prepare reports for management
- Prepare and review budgets and cash flow statements
- Maintain and reconcile accounts
- Provide advice on financial matters
- Develop and implement internal control procedures
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel, Moneysoft Payroll, VT
