Qualified Management Accountant, 12 month Maternity cover contract, Farnborough, £50-60k
As a qualified accountant, you will be available at short(ish) notice and able to commit to the full duration of the assignment. In this varied role you will take responsibility for a range of accounting activities including month-end closing, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with some PQE and plenty of hands-on management accounting experience.
Duties in the role:
- Management accounting for a business unit, ensuring accurate month-end closing and reporting.
- Oversee budgeting, planning, and forecasting processes.
- Handle commissions accrual and processing.
- Review employee expenses and payment runs.
- Ensure compliance with VAT and other statutory filings.
- Conduct stock analysis, including obsolescence, and assist with audits.
- Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
- Engage in other finance and accounting activities as needed to support the business unit.
About you:
- Accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW, or equivalent).
- Post-qualification experience in a Finance/Accounting role.
- Results-focused with the ability to work effectively across departments.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a drive to improve processes.
