This role requires a Financial Accountant with experience in the banking sector to join a leading financial services company.

Our client specialise within the Financial Services industry and are a resilient Banking group who operate globally and who hold a brilliant reputation. They are looking for someone who holds broad exposure within the Banking field.

Description

As Financial Accountant, your key duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Prepare financial commentary based on data analysis.
  • Engage with suppliers.
  • Maintain fixed assets register, inventories, and depreciation schedules.
  • Review bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Manage petty cash and reconciliations.
  • Handle prepayments and accruals.
  • Process invoices, payment requests, and expense forms.
  • Manage inter-company accounts.
  • Maintain General Ledger and financial accounts, including backups and reconciliations.
  • Implement finance strategies and policies per CFO directives.
  • Recommend and implement financial processes and controls.
  • Update finance documentation under Head of Finance's guidance.
  • Analyse financial data and performance ratios.
  • Prepare Management and Statutory Accounts, ensuring data integrity.

Profile

The successful candidate should hold:

  • A solid foundation in Accounting & Finance.
  • Actively studying towards ACCA/CIMA completion, at final stages, or QBE.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Good understanding of financial regulations.
  • Immediately available to start or on a reduced notice period.
  • Must hold experience working within a bank.
