Children's SEND Charity - Northwest - Various roles

We're working closely with a well-known charity who are dedicated to providing a happy and secure environment for children and young people with complex needs and additional communication challenges. Our client has built a small community of 17 special needs residential homes for children and young adults with SEND, offering some of the country's best facilities!

They are currently hiring permanent staff for their residential services and require the following:

  • Senior Support Worker (young adults) - £25,045
  • Residential Support Worker (children's) - £23,242
  • Night Support Worker (children's) - £23,242
  • Night Lead (Children's) - £31,148
  • Senior Team Leaders (children's) - £27,102

About these roles:

  • Full-time hours are 37.5 hours per week.
  • Shift patterns are over 7 days, with alternate weekends required.
  • Shifts are typically 7:30am-3pm or 2:30pm-10pm and split shifts
  • 9.45pm-7.45am for night staff which is spread over 3 weeks of 4 nights and 1 week of 3 nights.
  • 4 young adults or children per home.
  • Working one-to-one providing daily care and support for children and young adults including supporting their personal care needs, mobility, daily routine, communication, independent living skills, learning and access to leisure activities.
  • Challenging behaviours will present in this role, so to fully support children, young people and staff, candidates should be prepared to work at times in a high-pressured environment. Within a unique induction programme, they provide behaviour management training. Plus, ongoing support once in role.
