As a Management Accountant, you will be producing the management accounts for senior management and being involved with monthly finance meetings to provide a commentary for your findings. You will be using excel to produce comprehensive reports and liaise with senior management to discuss the financial health of the organisation.
Skills Required
- To be confident and communicative, it is important to be able to communicate in a strong manner, as you will be speaking with individuals from various backgrounds and levels of seniority.
- You do not need to be an expert, but it would be beneficial to be proficient at Excel as you will be using this software on a daily basis. It is key to be able to do Pivot Tables and Vlookups.
- To have a strong level of month end accounting experience. This includes posting journals, completing reconciliations alongside producing complex reports and management accounts for senior management.
- To either be actively studying either ACCA or CIMA, or to have already passed some of your examinations in these qualifications.
