HGV 2 Hiab Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver with HIAB Brick Grab and Remote-Control `expertise to join our dynamic team at Pertemps Falkirk We are recruiting for multiple locations across the central belts, West and East locations. .

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of building materials to our clients using a lorry-mounted crane (HIAB). This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual to contribute to our growing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate HGV Class 2 Vehicle: Safely operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle equipped with a HIAB brick grab.
  • HIAB Operations: Efficiently use the HIAB crane with remote control to load and unload building materials.
  • Deliveries: Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to various sites as per the delivery schedule.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle is well-maintained and clean.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, always maintaining a professional and courteous demeanour.
  • Documentation: Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery notes and vehicle checklists.
  • Requirements
  • License: Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving license.
  • HIAB Certification: Current HIAB certificate with brick grab and remote control experience.

Experience:

  • Proven experience operating HGV Class 2 vehicles and HIAB cranes, particularly with brick grabs.
  • CPC: Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) qualification.
  • Digital Tachograph: Valid digital tachograph card.
  • Knowledge: Good understanding of road safety regulations and procedures.
  • Physical Fitness: Physically fit and able to handle heavy loads.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and occasional weekends.
  • Desirable Skills
  • Experience in Construction: Previous experience delivering to construction sites.
  • Local Area Knowledge: Familiarity with the local area and delivery routes.
