Operations Manager

My client are seeking an experienced office based Operations Manager ready for their next challenge. This role is based in Darlington and offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. The successful candidate will be a strong leader, capable of managing diverse personalities and gaining trust from the outset. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance and supporting the business's strategic plans and goals.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Oversee and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Attend and prepare for Management meetings, including minutes and agendas.
  • Manage annual audits and the file review system.
  • Handle staff inductions, and support Directors in recruitment and retention.
  • Assist in staff appraisals and implementing the organisation's strategic plans.
  • Monitor and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Develop effective relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure value and service.
  • Line manage all department managers.
  • Facilitate communication from Directors to managers and staff.
  • Oversee facilities maintenance and management.
  • Prepare reports and support Directors in business strategy development.

  • Proven experience in operational management across various departments.
  • Ability to manage a changing environment and maintain good communication.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to command respect.
