**Locum Band 7 Hematology Biomedical Scientist

- Working Days: Monday to Sunday (2 days rotational week off)

- Hours per Day: Up to 10

Skills Required:
- Proficiency in hematology
- Expertise in morphology analysis
- Strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control in laboratory practices
- Ability to interpret and report laboratory findings accurately and efficiently
- Experience in using laboratory information systems and relevant software
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interaction with colleagues and healthcare professionals
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and laboratory practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform various hematological tests including full blood counts, coagulation studies, and blood film examinations.
- Analyze and interpret laboratory results, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety protocols.
- Participate in quality control procedures and contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective communication of laboratory findings.
- Provide training and support to junior staff and participate in continuing professional development activities.
