FOOD & BEVERAGE ASSISTANT - Prestigious Hotel

FOOD & BEVERAGE ASSISTANT required for a Hotel in the East Grinstead / Turners Hill area. Transport is required due to location.

As a FOOD & BEVERAGE ASSISTANT you will be responsible for food and beverage service within this hotel working as part of a team. Our client is looking for a good all round back ground to include previous experience within food and beverage service operations and you will require a hands on approach. Shift work is involved including mixed shifts such as early / late shift working, 5 days over 7 to include week-ends on a rota basis.

Food and Beverage Assistant main duties include:

  • Preparing the restaurant for service
  • Meeting and greeting guests
  • Taking guest orders
  • Serving food and beverage including alcoholic beverages
  • Completing satisfaction checks
  • Resolving any service issues
  • Presenting bills to guests and taking payment
  • Resetting the restaurant at the end of the shift ready for the next service
  • Ensuring work area is clean and tidy before departing

REQUIREMENTS for the role of Food and beverage Assistant include:

  • 5 days, 40 hrs per week, flexible shifts covering breakfast/lunch/dinner service, including weekends
  • Smart appearance, excellent communication skills with a passion for guest service.
  • Experience within a quality food service hotel/restaurant required

As Food & Beverage Assistant salary is given as £26,300 / per annum - 40 hour week, (£23,800 + £2,500 per annum guaranteed service charge payment paid quarterly) with an additional end of financial year service charge bonus also paid. Other range of company benefits available also with this company. Transport will be required due to location and shifts. Sorry no live in at this moment in time.
