Role Overview:
As a Town Planner, you will be a key member of the team, working closely with the utilities, forestry, and land management teams. You will be responsible for securing statutory consents for various operational developments, including farm buildings, hill tracks, and equipment. Your role will require a strong understanding of recent legislative changes to advise clients and colleagues effectively on rural planning issues throughout Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage planning projects, providing expert advice to clients.
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies.
  • Prepare and submit planning applications and appeals, and negotiate with local authorities and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on relevant planning legislation and policy changes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree in Town Planning or related field.
  • 2+ years' experience in a planning role
  • Knowledge of UK planning laws, regulations, and recent legislative changes.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
  • Full UK driving licence with access to a car and willingness to travel.
