The Role

Reporting into the Head of People and working in collaboration with the wider HR Team, you will ensure we provide the best support for our People, delivering HR operations as well as strategic goals that cover the whole employee lifecycle. ?

  • Manage and advise on Employee Relations cases, ensuring that employees and managers are supported andthat cases are managed with appropriate levels of risk, applying commercial acumen to decision making
  • Challenge and coach line managers to help identify and address people issues and support in the development of appropriate solutions, ensuring managers are effective people managers
  • Support employee engagement by supporting managers with engagement planning and engagement initiatives
  • Identify training needs within your area and ensure these are considered as part of wider training plans
  • Develop and deliver bite size training on people matters to improve subject matter expertise and upskilling of managers
  • Work as part of the wider people team to improve key people measures, surrounding absence, retention and employee engagement
  • Provide guidance on the pragmatic application of people policies and processes to drive consistency in people decisions across the business
  • Building and managing relationships with stakeholders to ensure good employee relations exist and support delivery of the people plan across all nurseries and areas of the company
  • Maintain an overview of people data in your area, identifying key trends, suggesting, and driving short-term and long-term initiatives ?to address any issues
  • Review and implement an onboarding framework to ensure a seamless and consistent employee experience.
  • Support new nursery openings from a people and HR perspective.
  • Provide guidance on the creation and implementation of HR processes and policies.?

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • HR Business partnering experience in a multisite environment
  • Level 5 CIPD and working towards / would like to achieve Level 7 CIPD (desirable)
  • Strong generalist HR content knowledge across Employee Relations, onboarding, reward, employee engagement, talent / succession and performance management - knows what good looks like and latest trends ?
  • Experience of coaching and supporting people managers with varying levels of experience and capability
  • Substantial experience of complex employee relations cases with the ability to identify business risks before providing recommendations?
  • Solution oriented with innovative problem solving that enables pace and shows good business acumen ?
  • Confidence and gravitas to present at senior level?
  • Partnering with stakeholders to create people related solutions that builds strong employee engagement?
  • Good understand of people technology and how this can be utilised to improve performance, process and engagement ?
  • Good analytical skills. Able to analyse data from multiple points translating this into compelling business data coupled with recommendations on short and long term solutions?
  • Superb attention to detail, right first time approach with the ability to ensure seamless HR delivery
