Our client, a leading dynamic independent PR agency based in Farringdon, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their vibrant team. Key Responsibilities:
Sales Ledger Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate client system details
- Finalize sales invoicing, ensuring accurate income reporting through relevant accruals, and issue invoices promptly to clients
- Manage Work in Progress (WIP)
- Keep the Client Billing tracker updated
- Handle credit control, ensuring timely payment of debtor balances
- Coordinate with accounts teams to ensure timely generation of draft sales invoices
- Perform monthly revenue reconciliation
- Post journals as needed
- Train staff on the Paprika system, focusing on the Accounts Sales module
Payables Ledger Responsibilities:
- Accurately code and post supplier invoices and expenses
- Code and post company credit card transactions
- Reconcile supplier accounts
- Process payments via Bankline
- Create purchase orders (POs) for overhead costs
- Train staff on the Paprika system, focusing on the Accounts Purchase module
Other Key Duties:
- Complete VAT returns
- Conduct cashflow forecasting
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Submit pensions through the Standard Life portal
- Ensure finance processes and policies are communicated clearly and followed across the business
- Handle reasonable ad hoc requests as needed
- Liaise with external auditors
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a PR or creative agency finance role
- Strong working knowledge of Paprika software is essential
