- Permanent (term time only+ 2 days)
- NJC scale 3 point 5 to 6 - £19,904 to £20,596 (pay award pending)

The Role
As a Science Technician, you'll be assisting in the preparation and smooth running of practical science lessons, supporting both teachers and students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare solutions, materials, and cultures for practical lessons
- Assemble apparatus for experiments
- Conduct risk assessments for technical activities
- Assist teachers during practical classes
- Maintain stock levels and identify future requirements
- Organise and deliver resources to classrooms
- Ensure the safe disposal of waste materials
- Carry out routine maintenance and cleaning of laboratory equipment
- Care for living organisms and plants used in experiments
- Provide first aid and attend appropriate training

The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone positive and helpful, with strong organisational skills. You should be a team player who can adapt to changing situations and solve problems quickly. You will have:
- Technical qualifications or equivalent experience
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade C or above)
- Computer literacy
- Willingness to undertake First Aid training
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multi-ethnic, multi-lingual community
