Job Title: Catering Supervisor

Location: Harrow on the Hill

Contract Details: Permanent, Full-Time

Pay: £14.17 per hour

Shift: Average of 40 hours per week worked over 36 weeks a year, 5 days out of 7 across a 3-week rota, including evenings and weekends.

The Catering Department plays a vital role in ensuring that students, staff, and guests have an exceptional dining experience each day.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Catering Manager and Hospitality Manager in the day-to-day operations of the school's catering needs across multiple venues.
  • Organise, lead, and motivate a diverse team of 20-30 full, part-time, and casual catering assistants.
  • Oversee workloads, maintain quality standards, and ensure the well-being of catering staff.
  • Plan and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for staff, colleagues, and clients.

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a front-line, customer-facing, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and a warm, welcoming demeanour.

Desirable:

  • Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Knowledge of catering operations in a school or large-scale setting.
  • Relevant qualifications in catering or hospitality.
