Planning Support Officer
Salary: £11.59 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time
We're looking for a Planning Support Officer to join our team! In this role, you'll provide essential administrative and customer service support to ensure the smooth operation of the Development Management and Enforcement Teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist applicants and agents throughout the planning process, offering guidance and basic information on planning procedures.
- Support the validation and processing of planning applications, including managing fees, documentation, and application status.
- Conduct research and investigations for planning decisions and enforcement cases, working with strict deadlines.
- Generate official letters and reports within legal timeframes, including enforcement notices and consultation reports.
- Support the organization and preparation for Development Management Committee meetings and internal planning panels.
- Monitor and track planning conditions to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Provide support for Freedom of Information (FOI) and Councillor enquiries, collecting and presenting data as needed.
- Accurately record information in planning systems and produce statistical reports.
- Collaborate with other departments and external partners to deliver cost-effective solutions and efficient resource management.
- Assist in public consultation exercises.
- Utilize various ICT systems and technology to maintain and update planning pages, manage data, and ensure efficient team operations.
