Role Overview:
As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering tailored and engaging lessons to students with special educational needs. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of our SEN provision, inspire a love of learning, and support students in reaching their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons that engage and inspire students with diverse learning needs.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and motivated to succeed.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
- Collaborate with the SENCO and other colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for students with SEN.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in SEN education.
- Engage in extra-curricular activities and school events to enrich the educational experience for students.
Requirements:
- A degree in Education or a related subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience working with students with special educational needs.
- Strong understanding of SEN strategies and interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school community.
