PE Teacher - Salford - January start
Prospero Teaching is looking for a PE Teacher for a Secondary school in Salford on a full time basis to cover a member of staff going on maternity leave. The role will be from January and will be for the rest of the current academic year, until they break for summer in July 2025.
The school is a forward-thinking, popular mainstream Secondary School with a supportive PE department. The school are looking for someone with recent experience teaching PE or sport in a UK school. They will consider both ECTs and experienced teachers. You will be required to attend departmental meetings and be available for parents evenings as and when they arise.
It would be advantageous if you have been a coach of a hockey, netball or rounders team, although not essential.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor degree in a sport related subject
QTS, QTLS or equivalent
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
Up to date prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years
Up to date FGM & behaviour management training issued in the last 3 years
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references
