Position: Teacher of Drama

Location: Secondary School, Sheffield

Start Date: Immediate

Contract: Full Time, Fixed Term until July 2024 (with possibility of extension into the new academic year)

Role Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Teacher of Drama to join our team immediately. This full-time position will continue until the end of the academic year in July 2024, with the potential for extension into the next academic year. The successful candidate will be passionate about drama and capable of inspiring students through engaging and dynamic lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality drama lessons to students across various year groups.

Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.

Direct and oversee school productions, ensuring student participation and development.

Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.

Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the drama curriculum.

Engage with extra-curricular activities related to drama and the performing arts.

Qualifications and Experience:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Proven experience teaching drama at the secondary school level.

Strong passion for drama and the performing arts, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.

Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the school community.
