Are you a sea going or ex-sea going engineer looking for a land-based role to support the largest wholly UK-owned fleet engaged in the UK's offshore industry with their planned maintenance?
Are you looking to become the maintenance system leader where you will be the go to person ensuring safe operations across the entire company?
On offer is the opportunity to join the team where the main purpose of the role is to provide a central focal point for the company's planned maintenance system across the fleet and the shore-based offices, warehouses and workshops, ensuring operational efficiency, accuracy and relevance.
Core duties will include resolving helpdesk queries, updating documentation, continuity and improvement of the system structure, alterations to the component structure and attached jobs, job histories, purchase orders, spares (items), defects, analytic reports, dashboards, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Support of the Planned Maintenance areas of the fleet management system including...
- Training of crew and onshore staff with the features and operation of the system, planned maintenance, defect management, procurement, QHSE, etc
- Vessel visits to provide one to one training when required
- The creation and maintenance of all relevant documentation and training materials
- Managing the system support helpdesk and resolving requests or queries promptly
- Providing details and the status of vessel certification, jobs and defects to the Superintendents and Managers to highlight any possibilities of overdue issues
- Reviewing jobs carried out and defects rectified during repair and dry dock periods, to ensure they are addressed and closed out correctly on completion of the tasks.
- Assisting the Technical Department with administrative duties as required within the system, such as port call documents, requisitions, etc.
The person:
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) (preferably TM Master or Sertica)
- Good Knowledge of IMO (SOLAS, LSA, MARPOL etc), Classification and Statutory rules & regulations
- Experience and understanding of vessel systems, equipment, maintenance and survey requirements & practices
