Sea Global are proud to be partnering with one of the largest Financial Services Groups in the world. They are currently in the midst of a huge transformation, which has resulted in this exciting, brand new, Procurement Transformation Specialist vacancy.

They are looking for someone to lead the transformation of their procurement function, who will be a Senior Manager within the organisation, reporting directly into the Chief Procurement Officer.

They are looking for someone who has experience within the Banking or Financial Services industry. Ideally you will be comfortable with process improvement, policy creation, contract management, senior stakeholder management, process optimization, strategy creation, and change management.

The role is greenfield, providing a very exciting opportunity for someone to come in and create, transform and centralise a brand-new procurement function for a world leading Financial Services Corporation.

The role is a 12-month FTC with the potential to extend.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Undertake a thorough analysis of the current state of procurement by reviewing the operating model
  • Support the creation of a business case to compare the current state with a fit for purpose solution
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement transformation strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives
  • Lead the establishment of a new procurement division from the ground up, including staffing, processes, and systems
  • Analyse current processes, design and implement new procurement processes and systems
  • Ensure everything implemented complies with internal policies and external regulations
  • Select and ensure effective integration of new procurement technologies and tools
  • Identify and mitigate risks including ensuring robust contract management and supplier performance monitoring processes are in place
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders as well as across other business departments (e.g. Finance, Operations, PCM, Legal), ensuring close collaboration and alignment

Experience & Requirements

  • Experience in leading transformational business process reengineering and a drive in change management
  • Excellent understanding of procurement policies and procedures
  • Proven experience of contract management and negotiating terms
  • Ideally knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements related to procurement activities
  • Strong communication skills and can demonstrate influencing senior management
  • Ideally will be degree and MCIPS qualified
