Position: SEN maths Teacher
Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN maths Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive team at a school based in Bury. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse group of students with special educational needs (SEN), helping them develop essential skills in maths in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality maths lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEN.
- Differentiate lessons and resources to support students with a wide range of learning needs and abilities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting student's independence and confidence.
- Work collaboratively with the SENCo and other staff to ensure appropriate support is in place for each student.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to parents and carers as required.
- Maintain a safe and engaging classroom, ensuring that health and safety standards are upheld during practical lessons.
About You:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching maths, preferably with students with SEN.
- Strong knowledge of the maths curriculum and how to adapt it for SEN students.
- Patient, empathetic, and passionate about working with young people with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A commitment to providing high-quality education and supporting every student to achieve their potential.
Desirable:
- Experience working with students with autism, ADHD, or other learning differences.
- Specialism or additional qualifications in SEN or maths.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
