I am looking for a Business Planning Manager to join my client. Reporting directly to the Head of Business Development, this role is essential for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the corporate sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic planning, market analysis, and the implementation of consistent sales processes. A deep understanding of the private healthcare sector and a proven track record in business planning and development are crucial for this role.

Key Accountabilities:

Research and Development: Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify new sales opportunities, understand market trends, and evaluate the competitive landscape. Sales Strategy Review and Refinement: Regularly review and refine the sales strategies to ensure alignment with departmental and corporate objectives and establishing metrics for evaluating results. Training and Development: Assist with recruitment, training and onboarding of new staff. Sales Process Consistency: Ensure consistency in sales processes and practices across the team to optimize performance. Sales Presentations: Prepare professional and compelling sales presentations to support sales meetings and pitches. Relationship Development: Assist in managing and developing relationships with key corporate clients, including healthcare providers and insurers. Event Coordination: Help arrange and manage customer events, enhancing engagement and fostering stronger relationships. Administrative Support: Assist with the day-to-day administration tasks within the corporate team to ensure smooth operations.

Person Specifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in business planning, sales strategy, or a related field, preferably within the healthcare or private healthcare sector.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of the private healthcare sector, including market dynamics, key players, and regulatory environment.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and market trends to make informed strategic decisions. Proficiency in preparing high-quality sales presentations and reports.
  • Communication: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with corporate clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Organisation: Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Technical skills: Awareness/knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM systems, awareness/knowledge of SaaS (Software as a Service) business models, understanding of how technology releases are deployed and distributed across markets.
