Commercial Director role:
Our client is looking to strengthen their Commercial team with a Senior Commercial Manager/Commercial Director based at the Southern Water Region.
The purpose of this role is to lead the frameworks next amp cycle. Managing a £100-150 million per year region, you will provide commercial support and leadership to projects/contracts and ensure that commercial discipline is maintained throughout the framework duration.

Key Responsibilities of a Commercial Director:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement commercial strategies in line with company objectives.
- Contract Management: Oversee contract negotiations, ensuring that contracts are in the best interests of the client.
- Risk Management: Identify commercial risks and proactively mitigate them.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Change Management : Identify contact change and proactively mitigate them.
- Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, ensure cost efficiency, and drive profitability.
- Team Leadership: Mentor, guide, and supervise the commercial team to achieve departmental goals.
About The Candidate
Essential
- Proven experience in a commercial management role, preferably within the water sector.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Proficient in contract management and risk assessment.
- Experience in a similar role with senior management responsibilities
- Able to demonstrate strong leadership capability
- Demonstrable client facing joint venture experience
- Drive to establish and embed positive delivery within the Joint Venture organisation
