This Ofsted Good, all-girls secondary school is seeking a teacher of English on a full-time basis to join their well-resourced team. The English department is a solid team of 10 exceptional teachers of English of varied abilities and levels. The school is in the borough of Barnet walking distance of a range of transport link shops and amenities. Ofsted commented that the 'Headteacher is inspirational Pupils at the school achieve exceptionally well.'
This mixed school is in a leafy part of London, slightly north of London with great transport links allowing staff to travel in from various parts of London and Hertfordshire where the rental cost of a 1-bedroom property is reasonable. There are also opportunities to rent a room with other teachers from this and local schools.
ABOUT THE SCHOOL AND ENGLISH TEACHER CONTRACT:
- A medium-size secondary school
- English teacher will teach at Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and Alevel
- Supportive team and a strong leader
- Department with a collaborative approach to planning, delivery, and assessment
- Supportive yet high-energy atmosphere
- This is a full-time position including planning and marking
- Interviewing ASAP
THE RIGHT ENGLISH TEACHER WILL BE:
- Hold a teaching qualification relating to English
- Confident with teaching GCSE English teacher
- Creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
THE SUCCESSFUL ENGLISH TEACHER WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
- Exceptional degree relating to English teacher
- Teaching qualification
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Be able to provide teaching references for the last 2 years
- Salary paid to scale - £190 - £262 per day Outer London pay
