***PROCUREMENT MANAGER***
A hot new vacancy has just landed for an experienced and strategic Procurement Manager to join our clients. Ideally your experience would have been gained within the manufacturing, Electro/Mechanical or industrial sector where you would have been managing a global supply base. The key purpose of the role would to take responsibility of all aspects of procurement covering strategy, contractualization, and oversight of the company's suppliers to provide on-Cost, on-Time and on-Quality supply to their operation.
Salary £50-60K depending on experience + benefits
Key responsibilities for the Procurement Manager include,
- Preparation and management of RFQ (Request For Quotation)
- Preparation of the technical data (drawing, specifications) of customer requirements
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure the best deals and ensure cost savings
- Make improvements re: Lead-Time and Cost reductions
- Ensure compliant and effective execution in a heavily regulated environment
- Response to "Escalations": to enable fast and effective mitigation action with operations to secure customers
- Take corrective actions i.e. Eradication of Non-Conformances and missed deliveries
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their procurement requirements and ensure alignment with overall business goals
The ideal Procurement Manager will need,
- Extensive experience within a similar role within manufacturing, electronic/mechanical engineering or similar
- CIPS or APICS full or part qualification advantageous
- Knowledge of ERP and advanced planning essential along with being familiar with ISO9001 requirements
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
- Excellent written and spoken English essential
- Good organisation and administration skills with attention to detail
- Experience in management and engagement of small team
- Computer literate in MS Office especially Excel & Word
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel as required
