My client are looking for a Senior DBA as they grow our their technology team across one of many areas.
Your Role
- Collaborate with data analyst, DevOps and Professional services teams to understand and optimise data across the business.
- Manage, maintain, and tune our PostgreSQL databases for peak performance and reliability.
- Develop and implement database strategies to ensure data integrity, security, and scalability.
- Provide expertise in data modelling, SQL optimisation, and backup/recovery processes.
- Staying up to date with upcoming trends and technologies
- Provide guidance and support to Junior DBA's and development teams
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a DBA with PostgreSQL
- Experience with AWS or other cloud
- Strong understanding of data management, performance tuning, and security.
- Strong DB infrastructure, maintenance, administration and design.
- Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues within DB infrastructure
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives
- A proactive and solution-oriented mindset
Salary is paying up to £80,000 with 10% bonus, pension (up to 11% contribution), private medical, 25 days annual leave and life assurance. The role will be based on a hybrid basis with 2 days a week in their central Leeds office (Core days Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday).
