Facilities Assistant - Stamford - Attractive Package
ALH Recruitment are looking to recruit a Facilities Assistant with immediate effect for our global leading client based in Stamford, Lincolnshire.
Role: Facilities Assistant
Job Summary:
The Facilities Assistant will work in conjunction with the Facilities Manager and provide effective site support where necessary; this will include, but is not limited to, grounds maintenance, cleaning, minor repairs, routine maintenance and pre-planned maintenance programmes. To ensure that our Client has the most suitable and safe working environment for its employees and their activities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of The Facilities Assistant is to ensure that the equipment, company resources, and general infrastructure of the company is properly maintained. The areas of responsibility include:
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary professional team ensuring a high standard of planned/reactive maintenance;
- Undertake the day-to-day planned maintenance, routine duties and repairs, checks and testing of the complete spectrum of services found in a Manufacturing facility;
- Undertake weekly fire alarm & other emergency evacuation testing;
- Building and grounds maintenance;
- Adhering to regulations and safety procedures
- Assisting with security;
- Utilities and communications infrastructure;
- Action daily schedules issued by the Facilities Manager;
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure all equipment is checked and inspected to meet inspection and maintenance plan.
- Ensure daily, weekly, monthly checks are carried out and documented to support the inspection and maintenance plan (Workshop and Premises).
- Respond appropriately to queries or urgent issues as they arise.
- To actively work towards maintaining and improving the Integrated Management System whilst adhering to the requirements of ISO 9001;2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
- To ensure that the Company Health and Safety Policy is adhered to, actively promoting a safe working environment.
- To undertake any other duties and responsibilities which would be reasonable and appropriate to the role.
- Attend mandatory training days / courses, on or off site, as per contractual agreement and role requirement.
Essential:
- General construction industry knowledge, i.e: carpentry, plumbing, basic electrics.
