Executive and Governance Support Officer

Adnodd is a new company created by Welsh Government to secure easy access for all learners and teachers to innovative, high-quality, and bilingual resources that will enrich their experience of the Curriculum for Wales. Adnodd will provide strategic direction and work with practitioners and content creators across the education landscape to commission and quality assure the education resources that will help learners to succeed.

The Opportunity

Yolk Recruitment is supporting Adnodd to recruit an Executive and Governance Support Officer who will play a pivotal role in helping Adnodd's Board and senior team ensure the smooth running of the organisation.

The Role

You will provide proactive executive support to the Chief Executive and senior management team, support effective communication with stakeholders, provide comprehensive administrative support to the Board, and support the Head of Corporate Services with governance and operational arrangements and processes through:

  • Executive support and written correspondence
  • Board administration
  • Corporate governance and delivery
  • Communication

Requirements

The successful Executive and Governance Support Officer will possess the following experience, qualifications and attributes:

  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in Welsh and English
  • Educated to Level 4 standard eg ILM level 4; NVQ Level 4, BTech Diploma, HNC or knowledge gained through demonstrable experience in related field
  • Proven experience as an executive or personal assistant, or in a project support role
  • Experience of diary management and organising travel and accommodation
  • Experience of organising and supporting meetings and of working successfully with senior management and leadership teams
  • Experience of preparing and proof-reading formal documents such as minutes, correspondence, reports and presentations
  • Excellent planning, organising and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks to hit deadlines
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office software including Office 365
  • Practical and proactive mindset with a commitment to customer service and continuous improvement
