Job Title: Cleanroom ECSS Quality Inspector
Location: Portsmouth (Onsite)
Duration: 6-month contract (Possible Extension)
Hourly Rate: £40/hour (Inside IR35)

Our client is a global leader in aerospace innovation, renowned for pioneering technologies that shape the future of flight and space exploration. As a Cleanroom ECSS Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the adherence to quality standards in Space Equipment production, particularly in accordance with ECSS-Q-ST-70-08, 28 & 38. Joining the team in Portsmouth to uphold the highest standards of quality and safety in a dynamic aerospace environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Champion a quality-first mindset to prevent non-quality issues in the cleanroom.
  • Monitor and enforce world-class workmanship standards and cleanroom practices/processes.
  • Conduct inspections on Flight Hardware and Test set-up to validate compliance with design and quality standards.
  • Identify and address non-conformities, collaborating with manufacturing engineering and relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist in root cause analysis of non-quality events to prevent recurrence.
  • Perform internal audits and complete QVP verifications as directed by the Equipment Quality group.
  • Support operational tasks including critical move and flight packing activities.
  • Promote a culture of Health and Safety and 5S practices in the cleanroom environment.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and mitigate any associated risks.
  • Conduct documentation checks, approve reworks, and manage quarantined equipment.
  • Review and verify the certification of Production and Test staff participating in process activities.

Skillset & Experience: Essential:

  • Certification to ECSS-Q-70-08/38/28 and/or ECSS-Q-70-61
