25.5hrs per week, term time only.

Special School Nursing

The successful applicant will be based at Evergreens secondary school, Brittain Lane Campus, they will support a number of classes to meet the personal care needs of pupils, support with enteral feeding, managing diabetes and other health conditions, the role will also involve supporting with meals times if the need arises and observing pupils with epilepsy. The role includes being in the complex classes to ensure our pupils with complex health needs have their health needs met by a health professional. Full training to undertake this role will be provided by Enhance Learning and Support, experience in a healthcare/carer role is essential for this post.

Enhance Learning and Support is a specialised nursing service in the field of learning disabilities, we provide support to a number of schools across Warwickshire to support children and young people with learning disabilities access school regardless of their health needs.

Enhance Learning and Support school nursing team consists of a Service Manager, School Nurses, Nurse Associates, School Nursing Assistant, Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers to meet the diverse needs of our customers. We all work across different bases to ensure continuity of our service. The school nursing team is committed to providing high quality health care to children and young people in a special school setting.

Enhance Learning and Support has an opportunity available for a Healthcare Assistant at Evergreen School in Warwick, they will join an already established School Nursing service at Evergreen School and Support the Nurse and Healthcare Assistant in meeting the health needs of pupils. Evergreen School provides educational provision to children and young people with special education needs aged from 4-19 years across both primary and secondary school.
