HR People Advisor

An excellent opportunity for an up and coming People Advisor to join our client, a building services company providing a range of specialist skill in engineering and facilities management services across a wide range of clients in the UK.

You'll be someone who is both comfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers and directors.

Previous experience of grievances and disciplinaries is essential.

In this role you'll also have responsibility for:

  • Liaising, supporting and covering with HR Admin to include completing contracts, offer letters, references and change of details forms, starters, leavers etc.
  • Experience managing the full employee life cycle: on boarding, probationary review, exit, etc.
  • Producing data-based dashboards/report/analysis for various areas within the people team
  • Developing line managers' HR capability and people management competence, professionalism and consistency of approach and support line managers with the management of ER cases through advice and coaching, ensuring approach is pragmatic and within an acceptable level of business risk
  • Advisory and support on low level Employment Relations issues, including absence, Occupational health, disciplinary, performance and grievance issues and attend hearings in the capacity of an adviser/note taker.
  • Advice on Employment Law, contractual matters, employee communication and consultation, ensuring the Company is consistent and fair, meeting contractual and legal requirements
  • Support, advice, coach and mentor the line management team in the application of HR policy and practice
  • Keep up to date with current legislative changes and ensure that managers are aware of changes in employment law and that revised HR policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Undertake specific HR/training projects as required by the senior management team.
  • Take lead in managing the HR IT systems
  • Knowledge of TUPE/Redundancy would be an advantage
  • Some travel required
