Senior Contract Manager

  • Salary: £68,662 basic salary plus £1,841 location allowance and £1,000 non-pensionable allowance

We are looking for a Senior Contract Manager to join our client's team and contribute to their transformation. As a Commercial Lead, you will be at the forefront of delivering Commercial Excellence.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Lead on commercial Contract Management for two high-profile, complex, and strategic contracts.
  • Provide a customer-focused service, understanding business needs and stakeholder drivers.
  • Develop and execute category management strategies, leading supplier negotiations where needed.
  • Build close Commercial Business Partnership relationships with colleagues in HR and Business Services functions.
  • Demonstrate leadership across the commercial lifecycle, particularly feeding in learnings and improvements from contract management into sourcing activity.
  • Develop key stakeholder relationships, enabling early engagement and challenging business need and demand.
  • Performance and day-to-day management of a contract manager/sourcing consultant.
  • Deputise for Head of Commercial if required and work within a secure environment on sensitive projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in commercial management and delivery at a senior level in complex and high-value environments.
  • Understanding of Public Contract Regulations and standard sourcing methodologies.
  • Proven track record in contract management processes.
  • Ability to develop effective supplier relationships and deliver continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Strong project management capabilities and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Inspirational and inclusive leadership, with a focus on developing commercial capability within the team.
  • Desirable: Working knowledge of purchasing processes and systems (Purchase-to-Pay), CIPS qualification / IACCM certification (or working towards).
