Technical and Quality Advisor

We are recruiting for a Technical and Quality Advisor to join our Tamworth based client.

You'll be joining a manufacturer and distributor of genuine automotive Parts and Accessories, the company being a key subsidiary of one of the top 6 global automotive companies. Your role will be to support the dealer network in the resolution of technical enquiries, maintenance of parts master, quality inspections and the administration of supplier and dealer claims.

As a Technical and Quality Advisor, you will need to have/be:

  • Tangible experience of main dealer or aftermarket parts or service department experience
  • Customer-focused
  • An understanding of motor vehicle technology
  • Appreciation of quality standards and the ability to check components against engineering drawings.
  • Computer literate - Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Well organized, adaptable and able to prioritize
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision
  • Excellent communicator at all levels
  • Dealer handling

Details:

  • Salary: Up to £32, 500 + £1,610 lunch allowance (in addition to basic salary)
  • Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 9.00am - 5.30pm and Friday 9.00am - 3.00pm
  • Location: Tamworth
  • Duration: Permanent

Role of Technical and Quality Advisor:

  • Technical enquiries via Dealer Communication System and telephone
  • Identify quality issues, liaise with suppliers and put actions required for resolution in place.
  • Submission of claims to suppliers
  • To oversee the return logistics process
  • Assist in administering the hassle-free returns program
  • Maintain the UK Parts Master regarding part and kit number creation, super-session and pricing to preserve the integrity of the system
  • Assist with dealer training
  • Dealer site visits
  • Audits of transport depots
  • Providing overview & standards regarding information required for external suppliers
  • Overseeing the quality of products returned via the car companies hassle-free returns program
  • Controlling dealer/retailer access to the WPC (Web Parts Catalogue)
